Today we are making a correction to how Rewards Points are redeemed on VOD. Before today, Rewards Points redemption was unintentionally providing permanent access to videos. Today, we will be correcting the permanent VOD access and adjusting it to 30 day access. The purchase process will still work the same but now the videos will sit temporarily in your Collection with the count down flag, just like a video accessed with a Pass does.

We are NOT making this a retro-active adjustment to videos already redeemed with Rewards Points. Whatever you have permanently in your Collection via Rewards Points will remain in your Collection. Quote

Not sure how it was unintentional? I did not see anywhere that it stated only 30 days, I only saw the options (ex: 160 credits, 16000 points, or a free pass for 30 days that only allows 120 credit video or lower).
It doesn't really matter since Reward points don't offer much anyhow, you are decreasing a benefit.
